Meet Our Staff

Trish
HM
Trish came to Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital in April of 2022 with 18 years experience in the field. Trish is passionate about working with the team to improve processes and client services to ensure the needs of staff, clients, and their pets are met. When not at work, Trish loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and play with her two chihuahuas, Fancy and Kibby.

Higgins
The House Cat
Higgins has been on staff with Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital since February 2018. He is a very happy and friendly cat. Higgins spends his days napping. He comes out from time to time to let our clients admire him.
He’s convinced that everyone is here to see him. When you come in to visit make sure to keep an eye out for him.

Miriam Faley
Kennel Assistant
Miriam moved with her family to North Carolina from Pennsylvania in 1975. She joined Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital in 2010. Miriam’s favorite part of her job is building relationships with our clients and their pets. Miriam has a great love for art, music, and crafting.

Mindy Call
Vet Assistant
Mindy has been in the veterinary field for over 17 years and with Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital since February of 2019. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s veterinary technician program to earn her associate degree. Mindy’s fear free techniques gain the respect of our clients and patients alike. In her time away from work Mindy likes to spend time with her family and friends, reading, going to the gym, and listening to music.

Julie Packard
DVM
Dr. Julie Packard has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 35 years. She graduated from NCSU in 1973 with a B.S. in Conservation. She then graduated in 1978 from Rapid City Regional Hospital School of Nursing and worked in surgery as an R.N for 10 years before pursuing veterinary medicine. She started her career as a veterinarian after graduating Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988!
Before opening Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Packard worked as Associate Veterinarian for two years at Reidsville Veterinary Hospital. Outside of her role at Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital, she also has experience working with the Oak Ridge Horse Show, volunteering with the Feral Cat Assistance Program for over 10 years, and has been involved with Triad Golden Retriever Rescue in various capacities since 1984.
Dr. Packard is incredibly active in organized veterinary medicine statewide and nationally. She has been a member of the NCVMA, AVMA and CCVMA since 1988. Dr. Packard was the recipient of the NCVMA Veterinarian of the Year Award in 2007 after serving as the NCVMA District Representative (four years), NCVMA Vice President (2003-2004), NCVMA President (2005-2006), and NCVMA Immediate Past-President (2006-2007). She also served as the President of Central Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and was the Alternate Delegate to the AVMA for North Carolina from January 2008 to July 2011.
Dr. Packard loves living in the country with her husband and 4 cats. Some of her favorite pastimes include science fiction, old movies, sewing and gardening. She is also a big NC State women’s and men’s basketball fan!

Ashley Ritchie
Vet Assistant
Ashley is extremely hard working and dedicated to do whatever it takes to help each and every patient. Ashley can be found all around the clinic doing a number of different tasks, but her passion is reproduction. She works closely as Dr. Haymore’s assistant in all areas regarding reproduction. Ashley is also a North Carolina Wildlife Rehabilitator. Her pastime’s includes spending time with her husband and children, traveling and professional soccer.

CSR
Leslie has been with Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital for 4 years. You’ll find her at the front desk, greeting clients as old friends. She prides herself on the relationships she has established with our clients over the years. In her free time, Leslie likes to travel, go antique shopping, and do a good Sudoku puzzle.

Kayleigh Sparks
CSR
Although Kayleigh has only been working in the veterinary field since starting with us in August of 2022, she has quickly made Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital home. Kayleigh is hard-working and passionate about animals, and she loves interacting with clients and patients. When Kayleigh isn’t working at Bel-Aire, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and traveling. Kayleigh is also working on the growth of her own small business.

Brandon Haymore
DVM
Dr. Brandon Haymore was born and raised in Rockingham County, NC. From an early age he aspired to become a veterinarian. Growing up as an only child, he spent most of his time on a small horse farm. He was very active in 4H activities that involved horses such as showing, horse bowl, Hippology and judging competitions. In 1997 while in high school he worked and trained with the veterinarians at Reidsville Veterinary Hospital. Over the next 12 years, he gained valuable knowledge about veterinary medicine and surgery. He did his undergraduate studies at Guilford College before he was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed his clinical studies in medicine and surgery at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, Gainesville Florida in 2013.
Although Dr. Haymore considered many locations to begin private practice, he returned home to Rockingham County where he worked for the next 9 years. Then he joined Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Haymore is excited to work with Dr. Packard and the staff at Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital. While he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, his special interest is in canine Theriogenology.

Tabitha Perdue
Receptionist
Tabitha joined our team in April of 2022 but has worked in the veterinary field since 1997. Tabitha is very energetic. You will find her at the front desk with her smiling face and happy-go-lucky demeanor. She’s a joy to have on our team. Tabitha has a 2-year-old Shi-Tzu named Neenee that she adores. Tabitha loves outdoor activities and traveling with her children.

Natalie Cooper
Vet Assistant
Natalie is new to our Bel-Aire Veterinary family but has 10 years’ experience in the veterinary industry.
Natalie is thorough, calm, and always keeps the patient’s best interest in mind. Natalie treats every patient as if they were her own. Her own pets include a dog named Chuck and a cat named Bill. When not at work, Natalie likes to go camping, four-wheeling, and hanging out at the lake.

Becca Johnston

Becca has been in the veterinary industry for 17 years. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician Program to earn her associate degree. Her favorite part of being a veterinary assistant is advocating for our patients and ensuring they get the best possible care. During her free time, Becca enjoys spending time with her family and participating in the non-stop action of roller derby.

Grecia Valdez
Kennel Assistant
Grecia is honest, caring, and enthusiastic about learning. Although her primary responsibility is in the kennel area, she also helps our veterinary assistants. Her goal is to one day move into a veterinary assistant role. Grecia is also bi-lingual and helps with translation when needed. When not working, Grecia spends time with her family, her two chihuahua’s Quinn and Ivy and cat named Tahiti.

Alex Sigmon
Kennel Assistant
Alex grew up here in Greensboro, NC. He has always loved animals, which led him to start working at Bel-Aire Veterinary Hospital at the start of his junior year of high school, after a summer of volunteering for us.
He hopes to someday become a veterinarian. Alex has one dog of his own but wishes he could have many more. In his free time, he loves traveling and exploring new places. He also loves all sorts of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting.
